My name is Jian Chen (nick name JC).
I am a long time web application developer with over 20 years of experience. I've worked in big and small companies from developer all the way up to director roles.
Feeling bored and lacking upward mobility, I quit my 9 to 5 job some years ago and started my own consulting business.
Currently I am self-employed and doing consulting work for clients, developing and maintaining their custom eCommerce websites. Some of the significant web projects I have done include:
--eCommerce websites with custom shopping carts
--A product management system for internal use
--A simple web application to send out mass emails using an SMTP service
--A personal blogging and membership web application (it is used to power this website as well)
Besides programming, I am also passionate about writing because I believe it is good for one's thinking. Additionally, I love stock trading as I see it as a way to grow my wealth.
